First navigation training day of the year, suitable for all levels of experience. We will be holding one of these approximately once a month.  The terrain will vary from farmland, heath to moorland.  This one is the heathland of Woodbury Common.

This is a chance to put into practice your map reading and compass work.  For those of you who are more experienced we will focus on micro-navigation and navigation strategy.

You will not be walking long distances and you will spend quite a lot of time standing still, so bring waterproofs, wear warm clothes and bring hats and gloves. Also bring packed lunch, drink and snacks.
